Pet friendly lodging in Yellowstone, especially in October, offers few choices. The cabins are basic, but spacious. No TV -- hey, you're in a national park atop a caldera. Cannot beat the location for being close to the lodges, Old Faithful, etc. Unfortunately, the cabins are placed within a sea of gravel drives with no greenery except on the perimeter,... more

If you want to stay in the Old Faithful area with pets, this is your only choice. Our little Norwich terrier loved it. We humans loved the location. Our duplex cabin was very, very small with walls so thin we could hear the guy in the room next door snore. (I snore, too, so this is not a complaint, just... more

After reading other travellers comments on these cabin's we were not sure if we would be happy staying in here. We were plesantly surprises that our cabin was very clean and did bot have any bad smell's. We did bring a can of sir freshner with us, but it was not necessary to use it. The cabin's are very old... more

We got the cheapest little cabins with bathrooms and it was quite cozy, and more pricey than you'd expect to pay for such a small room. However, you are paying for location here... it was just awesome to be able to wake up and walk to Old Faithful and be around all of the geysers before the crowds showed up!... more

Location, Location, Location. If you want to be in the park, this is the best area. The room is small and clean. Items you might need: a couple of folding chairs to sit outside and enjoy the view, ice chest to keep things cold, and a coffe pot f you want coffee in the morning. more

I stayed in the lodge for one night, and the location was absolutely great! The room however was old, dirty (full of dog hair flying around the room), and not very well maintained at all. In contrast, we stayed one night in the Old Faithful Inn, and the rooms were clean and very well maintained. more

Yes the cabins are rustic which adds to the charm. We felt a part of history and soaked up the ambiance of staying right in the park. A real privelege these days. The price was very reasonable and we were able to book two nights in a row. Much cheaper than the Awahnee cabins in Yosemite and more laid back,... more

I have been looking forward to going to Yellowstone for many years and always wanted to experience a hotel stay in this special place in our nation. Our stay at teh Old Faithful Lodge exceeded my expectations....which were very high. The Lodge has the perfect location and a good mix of renovated rooms and updated yet preserved rooms from an... more

After six days of camping in and near the Grand Tetons, this rustic cabin suited our family well. We stayed one night in cabin #209, which is near the trails and just steps from Old Faithful. We mainly used this cabin to sleep at night because there was so much to see and do during the day. The cabin is... more

The property I am reviewing here is an Old Faithful Lodge cabin. There is such a variety of lodging types within Yellowstone, and so many to pick from especially in the Old Faithful village, that a vocabulary review is in order. In the parlance of the Park, a lodge is a central structure containing a registration desk, an eatery or... more
