We stayed three nights in August while visiting Yellowstone. The campground is well situated in the middle of the park. It didn't take too long to get anywhere we wanted to get in the park - it's nice that there are campgrounds spread around the park, but it's also nice not have to constantly pack up and set up. As... We stayed here five nights tent camping. When you fill in the forms with xanterra be sure to specify your tent size carefully - also the proximity to the bathroom is somewhat of a trick question on that form. We asked to be "close enough but not in a thorougfare campsite" and we were given a small sloping site right... More

The location is great, you are close to Tower falls and Great Canyon of Yellowstone. Also the campground is basically on the junction so you can get to all important sites pretty quickly. The sites for tent are very spacious, you get a picnic table and fireplace. The showers and laundry are open only till 8:30 which was too early... More

We stayed in a 1 queen cabin/room in july 2012. We paid about $125/night, which is one of the cheaper rates in all of Yellowstone for a room with its own bathroom and shower. The room was small and had no A/C, but it wasn't needed, temps got low enough at night to cool us off. We had our three... More

We just spent 2 nights in "rustic" (their description not mine) frontier cabin at Canyon Village in Yellowstone Park. We were hesitant because of their description, but very pleasantly surprised. We had 2 double beds & the cabin was very clean with bathroom with shower. The location within the park was perfect for us as our favorite places to visit... More

Canyon campground does have more spacious sites, for Yellowstone that is. Thank goodness, since it is very busy. The times I have been here, it fills up faster than any other campground in the park. It appeared very child-friendly with children playing around the wooded areas and riding bikes around the loop. I stayed in loop A which certainly needs... More

We moved here after camping one night in Madison (which was terrible! Don't camp there!). For accommodating so many people, they do a pretty good job spacing out sites and making you feel at least a little bit secluded. We camped in Loop A on the outer ring in a tent. It's a mixed RV/tent loop (as opposed to tents... More

This was a great campground except for you can't take a shower before 8:00 AM. We are usually gone sightseeing by 7:30 and sure don't want to waste valuable time waiting till 8. One night there was a bulldozer running until 10.

We stayed in Loop A. Overall it was a very good location. We did have a couple of nights with a screaming child a few spaces down, and some idiot used an old fashioned air raid siren in the middle of the night, but stuff like that happens. Its a very convenient location, and we had our showers about 8... More

We've stayed three nights in a tent in loop K. Our site was not very flat, but apart from that, perfect. The site is in the wood and it's spacious and very very quiet (even if there was no vacancy and the campground is huge). They used logs to divide the different sites and there were designated path to go... More
