We stayed overnight in one of the cabins in the Canyon Lodge (great location for the day). We knew to expect rustic, but I was surprised at how dated it was. The management company must be making a lot of money since it is fully booked and they have done nothing to the rooms. The quality of the bedding was... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in summer. Reasonably priced for an 'in the park' cabin as compared to Yosemite 'in the park' cabin. There's a bull walking behind our cabin on the 2nd day we're here. We never been so close to a Bison before and this was such an awesome opportunity to be about 2 meters from a bull... More

We spent 3 nights in the Park in early June. Be aware that it can get below freezing at night even in the summer months so we had no need for a/c (which was good, because the cabin doesn't have one) though we did make use of the heater. The outside of the cabin is a bit rough, the inside... More

Cabin was very basic, but the sheets were clean. The trees outside were full of fresh bear claw marks, but you come knowing it's bear country and not to casually walk out at night. Because accomodations in the area are so high, it was the most inexpensive room of my trip.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. We were not expecting too much as it was a cabin in the middle of Yellowstone! But our expectations were well exceeded. The cabin was very clean. The staff at the lodge were very welcoming and we would really recommend the canteen as the food there was very good. The extra... More

Very disappointing for the money. I didn't expect luxury but these were so basic and depressing. We had a larger cabin with 2 full size beds but would have liked some chairs to sit outside and the first night we had no hot water at all. Apparently each set of 4 cabins has one 100 gallon water heater so it... More

I have written a number of TA reviews now and most have been positive. This one is not. My advice is avoid these cabins and stay elsewhere in the park if you can. Yes cabins were expected to be basic. However they are in dire need of at best a lick of paint and at worst knocking down and rebuilding!... More

I'm not a 5 star hotel kind of girl, and I was expecting something rustic and basic. But for the price they charge on these cabins, you'd expect to at least be able to park near it or sleep in it. When I made our reservations 5 months in advance they said they didn't have rooms with 2 beds, but... More

Ok so this place must have been built in the 70's and nothing has changed....neither the decor, furniture, mattresses or even the clock radio!!! It was very overpriced and even the cheapest hotels I stayed at, were better than this lodge!

We stayed 2 nights in cabin pod C-2. The 'cabin' had an adjoining door with the next cabin and we had to check a couple times to make sure the door was closed because we could hear (and participate in) the conversation of the other cabin! The wash basin is in the sleeping area and lord help you if you... More
