After coming up from nearby Grand Teton, we stayed three nights at Grant. Having never been to Yellowstone before, we did not know where to camp in the park. Yellowstone is a massive park. We found this campground to be a substantial driving distance from most sites in the park. However, it seems that most of the sites are a... More

very clean, great camping spot size, shade for hot days, easy access to showers, and right next to food and gas station. Also right next to the lake, and easy to go to either side of the park to see all attractions. Great location. More

We stayed for three nights. Registration was quick and easy, although they had run out of maps of the village, which was a bit annoying, especially when it turned out the signage wasn't great... But our pitch was lovely - clear ground under high pines, parking just off the loop road (other sites had more generous pull-ins, we felt a... More

We camped in Grant the entire first week of August 2011. It is a busy campground where our "neighbors" moved out and were replaced frequently. However, the campground, bathrooms, store, etc were clean, inviting, and a welcome change from some campground facilities. There was a grizzly wandering the area and we were not warned about it during our stay but... More

We stayed in Grant Village campground for 3 nights in mid August, 2011. When we arrived at the village it was nearly 5 in the evening. But luckily we didn't have to wait for long in the registration queue. We stayed in the K loop and the spot was perfect. Although the campground was full we didn't have any problems... More

Had our girl scout troop complete their first troop camp experience together and they chose camping in Yellowstone National Park. The online search and telephone service by Xanterra reservations made it quick and easy to research the campground and reserve our group spot. Knowing how much traffic YNP sees every week, this place was right on with their efficiency and... More

Camped at Grant Village for 1 week with 2 other families. Each family had 2 kids ages 6-10yrs. We had 3 sites and camped in travel trailers. We were in loop F and had the 1st 3 sites on the left side once you turn right into the loop (139, 140 and 141??). 2 sites were right by the campground's... More

We stayed in Canyon campsite for 3 nights before staying at Grant. So we were used to 38F at night. But Grant just went way below. I couldn't fold my blanket as it was freezing!!! It is a great campground. But the temperature at night simply was too much for us. Maybe it was because of the lake but I... More

Facilities and camp areas were very well maintained. Stayed in the tent only area. Camp was quiet and had all the bases covered with bear boxes, potable water, and clean bathrooms. This is a perfect base camp for a Yellowstone vacation. More

We arrived at Grant Village in the early afternoon and therefore missed the long queues for registration - saw that later in the evening. This was quite a lengthy process as we had the many camp safety rules explained to us one by one. This we appreciated as we are not accustomed to being in such a wild environment and... More
