We arrived in Hot Springs on a Sunday night and it almost felt like a ghost town! Things did wake up that evening, but as another reviewer pointed out, it is a small town and does lack some amenities - having said that there is a decent market accross the street and the gas station is reasonably priced. Dining options... more

We spent three days here and found the location excellent for sightseeing. Lots to see and do. Reception staff remarkably helpful in travel advice, local knowledge and recommendations. Provision of free fruit and healthy snacks in the evenings was a particularly welcome extra. Rooms were clean, spacious and had all amenities one would expect. more

We were wandering the West and ended up in Hot Springs. Checked a couple of hotels and ended up staying here for the night. The front desk lady was super nice and helpful. Checkin was quick and easy. (One drawback was no elevator). Had a micro/fridge in room, computer to use in the lobby along with a printer. The bed... more

We stayed for Strugis Bike week, the location was good for us as we wanted to ride the scenic routes in the area. We stayed in the 2nd floor Exc. suite which was great to have the extra room with the 2 person tub and large screen tv. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and supplies replaced. The... more

This is our second stay at the Best Western (formerly a Comfort Inn). It's not a posh hotel, but was clean and comfortable with an affordable price. This hotel is not in the heart of town, but the town is not that big and none of the 'name' hotels are in the downtown area. It's a little dicey finding parking... more

The second best Best Western were we stayed. People at the desk make you feel very welcome, they give you info about the neighborhood, where to eat,…. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and gives you the feeling being at home. There are free fresh fruits and candies at the desk in the evening. There is little “internet corner".... more

We had booked here as a stopover on the way to the Black Hills, because we wanted to see the Mammoth Site but the town is not geared up for visitors. The hotel is on the outskirts of town but within walking distance. It was clean, our room was on the ground floor and was comfortable. There was a small... more

We stayed here on our way to Mt Rushmore. It was fairly clean but we were given a first floor room because we requested a king bed. There are no king bed rooms on the second floor. We wanted an upper floor. We were given a first floor room next to the main entrance. This is not the quietest room... more

We stayed at the Best Western in Hot Springs, South Dakota and were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived without reservations and the front desk was very accommodating. We got a king, non-smoking room on the first floor for a great rate. The pool area (with hot tub) is clean, there is a computer with internet access for guests, and the... more

Another hotel situated out of the main centre but doesn't tell you about it on booking. The room was very nice with a seperate lounge area and we paid extra for a hot tub - which was located in the main lounge area? Different - useful if you still want to watch the telly but must close the curtains!. We... more
