We stayed at the Hill Top Motel on our way to Voyaguers National Park. The room was nicely decorated and comfy. The beds were a bit soft for our liking but were adequate. Just talking to the owners, you can tell they take great pride in their property. The morning breakfast is very nice outside sitting at the picnic tables... More

Old motor court motel lovingly restored. Small low-ceilinged rooms, wifi for only one laptop, continental breakfast served outdoors (!) Check-in at 2pm no exceptions. Although the rooms have been very professionally restored, they still have a "mobile-home" feel and smell. No amenities in the rooms (micro, fridge, coffee pot, hair-dryer, etc.) For $70 we would expect more value. More

In response to Carol G. All rooms have free wireless internet. First laptop is free, other laptop users in room can log in for very small fee with our server. Micro wave, fridge, and hair dryer are provided upon request along with free ice. Windows and doors are opened in our rooms to allow lots of fresh air when being... More

I stayed here on Sat October 1st for one night passing through the area. I have traveled to many motels/hotels and I have to say that the owners here are probably one of the nicest if not the nicest people I met. When I arrived at the the front desk the couple were both there and I immediately felt welcomed.... More

The reason we came to International Falls was the Voyageurs National Park, and the reason we picked the Hilltop Motel were the favorable reviews, the reasonable rates, and the fact that the arrangement included breakfast. Voyageurs NP definitely is worth a visit. You need to go aboard a boat, though. We recommend the tours offered through the park’s visitor centers.... More

In response to fossilize, Houston, Texas. We at the Hilltop have designed a unique theme for each and every room or cabin to give a real homestyle look that is non-generic as so many other motels. The theme in your room was like no other with wolf bordering and a northwoods touch including lampshades and northern lites art, which would... More

We spent one night at the Hilltop Motel on Aug 4,2011. We had 2 double rooms and 1 queen room. The rooms and grounds of this nostalgic motel are extremely clean and well maintained by the owners. I would recommend this motel to anybody visiting International Falls. You can't be the price. I would recommend a double room even if... More

This is a classic old-school style "motor inn" like you used to see all over the U.S. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and well-kept. We had a pleasant stay! More

We stayed here for one evening on our way to Canada. I don't think I had stayed in a motel where you can park in front of your room for a long, long time. The room was very inexpensive and yet it was very clean. It seemed as if every inch of the room was decorated with a North Wood's... More

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Great location, right on Hwy 53. Nice little cozy place, had picnic tables outside, it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the sun. We walked to the Spot on 53 for dinner, sat in the lounge which was a little dark, food was okay. had a "continental breakfast" of juice and home made... More

Needed a place to land outside Voyagers. Found this motel to be an easy stop. Clean, cute rooms, very quiet (we did come in on a Sunday) and friendly staff. Continental breakfast offerings were homemade coffee cakes, hot coffee, juice and granola bars, a nice touch. More
