The most pleasant experience I have had since I traveled in Switzerland. The accommodations lacked for nothing. The owner/operators conduct this business at the highest professional level. I can't wait to return. more

My husband and I spent two lovely nights at Ahern's Belle of the Bends, in the Josephine room. The room was nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable. We had wireless, high speed internet which is a big plus for us. We also had cable tv and access to videos/dvds. The bathroom was large and had excellent lighting. Our two course breakfasts... more

The Belle of the Bends offers a wonderful peek inside the rich history of the South. It is lovingly restored and kept up in the grand style that speaks of times past. I have returned to the Belle many times over the past several years for get away weekends to "decompress" and relax. Mary and Dan are wonderful hosts and... more

There are many, many beds and breakfasts; there are hotels and motels; and then ... there's Ahern's Belle of the Bends. It's in a class all it's own ... and it's not JUST the accomodations ... although they are exceptional, but it's Mary and Dan Lee, the innkeepers. They make your stay at the Belle more than just a night... more

Once in a while, if you are very fortunate, you walk through the door of a beautiful home in a state that you have never been and find the comfort that you seek. That was the beginning of our experience at Belle of the Bends. Mary and Dan added warmth, delicious food, and magnificent gardens that invited exploration and daily... more

Beautiful inside and out and lovingly cared for by host-owners, Mary and Dan, Bell of the Bends is picture perfect. You won't find a better place to stay for your visit to Vicksburg: comfortable, charming, relaxing, lovely. The house is really a treat with its original fixtures and furnishings. A stroll across the street will take you to the Cedars... more

The Belle of the Bends is a beautifully-restored historic home on the bluffs of Vicksburg. Our hostess, Mary, was extremely gracious and informative. She clearly cares deeply for her home and for her guests. She recommended a restaurant for dinner where I had the best fried chicken I have ever eaten in my life! The home itself is in excellent... more
