I've never stayed at a hostel before, and I was expecting it to be a bad experience. Not so! The staff is so friendly and chill I hung out with some of them when they got off work. Anyone who says Seaside is dirty or noisy obviously stayed there when the place was under its previous management. They clean the... more

This was the best hostel I've ever stayed in, just loved everything about this place!! Genuinely superduperfriendly staff - they don't just go the extra mile for you, they run a marathon to make sure you have a great stay (especially Kessa and Bryan)!! The location is excellent, great with free tours, free internet, free breakfast, amazing atmosphere and just... more

I stayed @ the seaside hostel in August of 2007. This was my first Hostel experience. I had a wonderful time & hope to come back a bunch of friends! I loved the staff. I went to the island of Oahu for 2 wks. The first wk was spent on the North Shore @ Turtle Bay resorts (in a condo.)... more

Great staff, great location & great facilities. Thanks to Johnny and his staff for making me feel at home on my vacation. In a place where hospitality can be generic, this hostel is the exception. Don't waste time in the back alleys of Lemon Rd. and come stay here. more

This was the first time we stayed in a hostel and we loved it! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hostel was kept very clean, orderly, and safe. It was in a perfect location; within walking distance to the beach, fabulous restaurants such as Dukes and CheeseCake Factory, the International Market Place, close to TheBus bus stops, and for... more

This is a great hostel if you don't mind giant cockroaches and other assorted filth. It's not really a bargain because there are hostels nearby which charge the same price per night and you don't have to deal with the run down facilities and the all night noise from the bar next door. The staff are somewhat friendly until you... more

My husband and I stayed here in Jan. 2007. We had a private room with a shared bathroom. There were roaches EVERYWHERE. A few on the floor in the room and in the bathroom, but the kitchen was COVERED (counter tops seemed to move. Even the inside of the microwave was crawling with them.) The shower faucet didn't work (couldn't... more
