I stayed there for 4nights. The first floor was empty even there are so many separated stalls... no restaurant except for Friday night. The breakfast is OK. The room is big. If you don't wish gorgeous resort to your stay in Honolulu this hotel would be alright. All of rooms have balcony the ocean side rooms have a beautiful view. more

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Hotel Ilikai. This is the first hotel on Waikiki beach and next to the Hilton Resort which has oh so many shops and restaurants. Great hotel for the money. Nice location on North end of Waikiki. Everything in walking distance. Rooms were decent size and clean. Daily cleaning of room was late - 3 o'clock - which is strange. This place is on its way out. All the stores have closed on the bottom level, the one restaurant downstairs never seems to be open, and the restaurant at the top seems to have an odd menu and is overpriced. I stayed this past weekend (October 17,18) in an Sunset room with kitchen. It reminded me of a WESTIN room but better. We had a full kitchen. Big balcony to eat, watch the awesome sunsets, boats and surfers! We had it all. I just wish we could have stayed longer (at least a week or two). There was construction next... more

My family and I stayed in a private Condo unit through VRBO. We were a little bit nervous about the process, sending someone a 50% deposit etc. We LOVED it and would do it again. The room was exactly as described, gorgeous view of the ocean, on Waikiki beach. Parking behind the hotel at the Marina was cheap and convenient.... more
