In my opinion - this is one of the hidden gems of Newport. It is a clean, cozy place to stay with a friendly attentive staff. Rick and Jeff are excellent hosts and are helpful with any questions you may have regarding the city, restaurants, attractions etc. They also serve up you up a warm hearty breakfast in their nicely... Stayed with Rick at the Admiral Farragut a few years back. Wanted to make a reservation for this June. As their website does not allow for online reservations I emailed. Got one response asking me to call. Tried that numerous times, one time Rick actually took my number and offered a call back cause he was busy. Needless to say... More

I phoned on short notice Rick on the suggestion of a friend. If you think that customer service is dead, think again. The staff is probably the most accomodating that I have come across in recent memory. Our needs were anticipated, and taken care of. The location is exteremly convinient to all of downtown business and shops, yet off the... More

The first week of December I planned a girls trip to Newport to view the mansions. We stay at the Clarkeston Inn. What a beautiful Inn!!! All the Charm of Newport, all in walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and waterfront. Each room decorated differently, with fresh, classic New England style, warm and welcoming. Rick, the owner, was awesome, always... More

My wife and I started staying at the Inns of Newport 14 years ago before we got married. We've been going at least twice a year ever since and had our entire wedding party stay there. Rick and his staff are fantastic people and accommodate every need. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast they serve is second to... More

Stayed in The Clarkston (one of five properites) across the street from the Cleveland House. No elevators so be prepared to walk the narrow stairs to upper floors. Room was spacious with modern amenities. Bed was comfortable with feather pillows and high-end bedding. Hot breakfast is made to order with eggs, waffles and pancakes. The inn is located within comfortable... More

The street was cramped, but when you are traveling late in October in Newport you are not fighting traffic. The room we stayed in was on the second floor, had wide original floorboards, and a wonderful bed. The linens were high quality and fresh. The bed was comfortable on a cold and rainy night. Location was great, with a short... More

My wife and I stayed at the Admiral Farragut Inn for our 26th wedding anniversary. Rick Farrick and his staff treated us to lovely room with great breakfast fare! Upon arrival Rick offered us the choice of two available rooms and my wife selected the room at the Farragut for it's Jaccuzzi tub which she made use of our first... More

We stayed in the Cleveland House-I think there are three other homes with Inns of Newport. It's an older home-small rooms of that 1800's age, but just what you need. (who stays in their room all day?!) Crisp sheets, all the amenities you'd need. Breakfast included-eggs, bacon or cereal- and more. A short walk 2 blocks to all the shops... More
