We booked a room last minute at the Attwater. It was a spacious suite on the top floor (all that was available) with a comfortable sitting room and capacious bedroom with a king bed. The decor is modern and eclectic but extremely well done. An excellent breakfast with many choices--not your standard bacon and eggs and home fries. All guests... More

We celebrated our recent anniversary in Newport and stayed at the Attwater- and it was a great experience! Breakfast was adorable with homemade scones, our suite was incredibly designed and comfortable and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Hands down we will be staying at the Attwater the next time we are in Newport!

Highly recommend this small hotel in Newport. Great location away from the touristy area but still an easy walk. Great eating options within walking distance. Great decor and comfortable sitting room downstairs. Our room 3rd floor at the back on left hand side was quiet small, so maybe research room sizes available. The airconditioner was very noisy. Breakfast was adequate but... More

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed the decor and guest lounge. We appreciate your review. Our petite queens are the smallest of our room types and are indeed intimate. We endeavor to accurately name and describe rooms and provide square footage on our website. We hope you can try one of our 500-square foot King Suites upon... More

This lovely boutique hotel is ideally situated in Newport, only a short stroll from the shops and restaurants. The room was modern and clean with a really comfortable bed. The shared areas were all beautifully decorated and maintained. The complimentary breakfasts, cakes and coffee were great. The hotel runs a point system for the snacks and breakfast which means you... More

Stayed at the Attwater at the end of May. This Inn is a gem. We had a little trouble the first night but that was quickly fixed. We stayed in the King Suite and it was a very nice room, spacious and well appointed. Loved the Apple TV. The décor reminded me of the Mandarin Oriental hotels, simple yet well... More

But I learned about it on tripadvisor and figure you should give if you get. Stayed twice so far and it's a great stay and a great value ($200 give or take depending on room size, May 2013). Near the corner of Memorial and Bellevue, you can walk almost anywhere. Decent sized rooms, bright, modern decor & functional, very clean... More

My daughter and I spent one night, mid-week, in May. The inn is done in very modern but charming decor. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with convenient compartmentalized bath.
