My husband and I recently stayed at the Ivy Lodge. Daryl and Darlene are the best hosts ever. What a fantastic experience in a beautifully appointed B & B. We will definitely return to enjoy another cozy romantic stay. We just felt so relaxed and comfortable. It felt like home, and after a day of roaming the mansions and Newport... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ivy Lodge last weekend and had a wonderful time. This is a beautiful Victorian mansion converted to a warm and welcoming B&B. It is located on a quiet street around the corner from The Elms in the Mansion District. Even though it was fully booked, the Lodge was very quiet. Easy walk to... More

Where do i begin? lets start with before even getting to this beautiful establishment with Daryl who unfortunately was away during our stay! Daryl helped me with all my plans i did a room upgrade over the phone, he emailed me a list of places to eat and i picked and made dinner reservations the next day. Upon arriving i... More

Thank you for staying with us! Sorry I was away but maybe next time. We are glad that you notice the work we do on keeping this 150+ year old building in shape, it confirms what we are all about. A nice clean place to stay while visiting wonderful Newport! Next time go ahead and ask for the extra sausage,... More

Early April in Newport, but they are not far ahead of us weather-wise in Ottawa. No snow, however, and the smell of the sea, and old world charm at the Ivy Lodge. We stayed in the Turret Room which has a king four poster bed, fireplace, sitting area and bath with jetted tub, separate shower and two basins. Aside from... More

Absolutely loved this bed and breakfast. It's close enough to walk downtown and has the benefit of being in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking. The inn is very well maintained. It is quite evident that these innkeepers take pride in this inn and it shows in the upkeep as well as their interaction with their guests. At the time... More

Travelled from Sweden and stayed at Ivy Lodge in June 2012 during my birthday and our roadtrip on the east coast. Best possible service and very cosy old place! Got the best waffles I had in the us for breakfast and also a birthday song! :-) Walking distance to the center of Newport. Thank you for making us feel good... More

Went for a winter weekend getaway and just loved the place. I loved how quiet it was, it's location and how grand it is. It's in the 'mansion district' right off of Bellevue Avenue. We had a gift card from bedandbreakfast.com so I don't think I could afford to stay here during peak season. bedandbreakfast.com seems to limit which rooms... More

Thank you for your thoughts. We think our location is great with just a short walk to everything Newport. We do serve smaller portions as we have so many things to try, most folks can't or don't want to eat as they are watching their weight. As for the stale items, we bake almost daily so not sure how that... More

We went to the Ivy Lodge as a birthday present, as well as a weekend getaway. The lodge was very nice, and the service even nicer! Breakfast was awesome, especially the Pecan Waffles! Charming B&B, decorated with care and great antiques. Delicious breakfast of pecan apple homemade waffles and excellent service. Good location. Enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and gas fireplace. Would be happy to visit again when back in Newport.

Ivy Lodge is located near famous Newport mansions, only minutes from historic center of the town and from scenic Cliff walk. Carefully restored old house with beautiful “old New England” interiors make this inn truly exceptional. The bed in our room was not good – it was perfect.
