I wanted something special for Paul's 50th birthday last month, and knowing we had only one day to get away, it needed to be right. Innkeeper Wendy recommended the perfect reastaurant (The Cottage Place in Flagstaff) for dinner, and provided a special birthday treat in the morning. The resident retired sled dogs are sweeet, as is Izzy, the resident cat.... more

I went for a one-day business trip and fell in love with the Abineau Lodge, formerly the Sled Dog Inn. The owner, Wendy, was so accomodating with my schedule. I had to leave early in the morning and couldn't enjoy her home-cooked breakfast, so she set aside some yummy treats for us. She also had a great recommendation for dinner.... more

Our stay at Abineau Lodge was great and we wished we would have had more time to stay at least another night. The room was very well put together, it smelled divine thoughout the lodge and the breakfast was FAB!! We will definitely stop by again and bring along the rest of the family for a warm, relaxed & real... more

If you're looking for a quiet retreat, away from the noise, business, and fast paced world this is a great option. We really enjoyed the comfort of a home-like bed and breakfast, without sacrificing privacy and professionalism. The lodge IS off the beaten path which is a GOOD thing if you're staying in Flagstaff, since there is a VERY, VERY... more

Being in the proximity of the big city but having a quiet place and lots of rest, Abineau lodge is there for you. Hosts are friendly and considerate. Ready to communicate if you wish for it, discreet if you are not the chatty one. Rooms do not have a TV, but if you are a TV person there is huge... more

Our stay was good, just not what we usually experience at a B&B. My expectation of a B&B is personal and casual. After two disappointing B&B experienced on this vacation, I know it's time to re-set my expectations. The check-in was not as personal as I usually expect at a B&B. We got the key, a short tour, that did... more

Wow, what a gem this place is, nothing is too much trouble for host Steve and the accommodation is wonderful with each room having its own theme. My party of four had 2 rooms here for just one night last September 2007, but how I wished I could have stayed longer. The location is stunning, on the edge of a... more

We loved our two night stay, and look forward to returning! We came 4 days before our wedding in the Grand Canyon, to meet vendors and do other last minute preperations. It could have been very hecktic and stressful, but Wendy and the lodge helped make it wonderful and very relaxed. The perfect remedy for our schedule. The food was... more

A cozy country lodge offered a quiet and comfortable nights rest nestled up to the woods. An elk was spotted as promised, if you're lucky enough to be out at the right time. Great hospitality and interesting conversation with a good breakfast was just perfect. This lodge is minutes from Flagstaff and scenic route 89a to Sedona. It was exactly... more
