Just stayed at La Posada and expected more after reading the reviews. Our fireplace suite had worn furnishings, out-dated HVAC and was dirty. I expected this to be a well-kept resort, but found that the staff never cared to clean floors or much else other than the bathroon sink. The service is absolutely five star. If you would like ideas on things to see or the perfect restaurant, the staff bends over backwards to see that your stay is perfect. The hotel has lovely grounds, the service was excellent and the location was perfect (3 blocks from Plaza). The room was nice and an OK size. I got a good price from Priceline ($120/day) but beware the additional resort fee ($30/day+tax). I would return for $155 but not for more. Did not try their spa, too expensive. more
