We had zero issues at this one. The cafe is SO CUTE and it really reflects the flavor of it's surroundings. Clean, quiet and a PERFECT location. A block from old town. Nice staff, nice pool, again, if you're looking for the ritz then don't stay here but it's a great place to stay if you want to spend your... more

Not horrible but they have some sprucing to do. Squishy wet carpet around pool. Covered walkways need painting and something a little better than $4 drugstore plastic chairs. Rooms also decorated on a dime. Restaurant needs attention. Great great great location. TabaccoMob: all are non-smoking rooms even though online reservations for a smoking room. Bring an ashtray, there's none out... more

When the floor is both quieter and more comfortable than the bed, then location, cleanliness, and service pale quickly. The location is very convenient to the Santa Fe Plaza. more

I got a good deal on priceline, and for what I paid, it was a good place. It's located right on the river in downtown. It's a short walk to many museums and restraunts. The room was clean and everything worked properly. The bed was not really comfortable, you can tell it was an old mattress. However, like I said,... more

I NEVER take the time to compose a review for hotel travel ( I am a busy cardiologist ) but my fiance & I had such an abysmal experience that I need to share it with an unsuspecting public. She flew into Albuquerque , Nm from Nashville , Tn late on a Friday evening , necessitating a 0100 arrival at... more

UGH!! Where to start? I had been traveling back and forth from Albuquerque to Santa Fe the whole week and my company reserved this room for me and my husband on Thursday night. After a long work day and dinner I couldn't wait to get to the room and go to sleep. Once I lay down on the pillow I... more

We stayed at Garrett's Desert Inn in Santa Fe and found it adequate but absent any frills. As this was our first trip on a budget we were not disappointed in anything except the bed. It was very uncomfortable. However, the lobby supplied fresh coffee and fruit, and the pool was lovely. The hotel was easy walking distance to all... more

Garrett's is in one of the best locations you can get in the heart of Santa Fe. The rooms are original, "kitsch," but clean. The place is quintessential "Route 66": 35 years ago, Bob Dylan could have been writing lyrics in the room next to you. Unfortunately, the beds have been upgraded since then with prison-issue "boards" with headboards. If... more

Great location. Cheapish price, and appropriately so. Old. Bedroom: Cold at night in winter. Dirty carpet. Cheap sheets. Funny smell. Dresser and bedside tables unusually low. External wiring. Only one outlet, nowhere near bed or table. Only 2 small pillows; no extra pillows or blankets. Basic, very basic, cable, but with HBO. Bathroom: Cracking paint. Nowhere to put soap that... more

I have stayed at Garretts Desert Inn on a previous trip to Santa Fe so I knew what to expect. As I do not drive whilst in USA and want to be close to all the "action" the location of the hotel and the price is perfect. The prices of accommodation which are a few blocks walk to the Plaza,... more
