Santa Fe is expensive and the inexpensive lodgings are located on Cerillos, which is also Route 66. There are a string on locally owned and operated motels along here, as well as a number of chains. We don't do chains if at all possible, so these places suit us just fine. While somewhat dated, the rooms are clean and have... More

It's clean, convenient, friendly and CHEAP. Plus, it has these funky retro carports between the units which make it easy to unload the car. Aside from the cheapness, I actually liked it, but then I was only there to crash. You may not want to book it for your honeymoon, but it serves as an eminently crash worthy spot in... More

We decided to give this inn (built in 1939) a try as it was rated #1 for budget hotels in Santa Fe. Please do not expect anything fancy, no fuss or amenities (except a 'frig and a nice on-the-wall thin t.v.) and be prepared for the flame-heated heater. This is a period Santa Fe hotel. There is no pool. We... More

Oh yeah, you can hear the road. Service was pretty much nothing. Kid asked for my license, made me sign something, and handed me a key. I said, "okay, great, number 5, where is this room?“ He barely spoke saying it was around the corner. Sure enough, if you look at the picture on trip advisor, you'll see the front... More

We needed several rooms to put up guests for a wedding. Given the cost of staying in Santa Fe, this was a very economical alternative and ended up being fun for everyone. I was skeptical, but had received a recommendation from a local who swears by the place. The staff was wonderful, very polite, efficient, and helpful. All of the... More

Contrary to some booking websites, this Motel does offer free WiFi service. It worked very nicely when I stayed there in January. My room was close to the road, opposite the reception. I could hear some cars driving by, but it did not affect my sleep at all. I did sleep well at the King's Rest Court. My booking attempt... More

The old-fashioned wall heater kept me toasty on a well-below freezing night in Santa Fe. The carport kept my car ice and snow free. I had a room close to the road, so there was a little car noise, but overall, the stay was good. Mini-fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker all helped this to be a comfy stay in a historic... More

I was somehow expecting a little more. You can see daylight through the gaps between the door and jamb, a result of the funky old style of the hotel I suppose. The room was clean enough for me, but felt a little old and maybe grimy. The room had an odd shape and the bathroom kinda cramped. I liked the... More

Straight out of the 1950's, this motor court comes with covered parking next to each room, no phones in the rooms, window air conditioners, and plenty of ambiance. It's clean, the beds are comfortable, and there's a walk-in closet. A mini coffemaker in each room, and the basics: desk and chair, chest of drawers, comfy chair in the bedroom area.... More
