The owner Shaun is not a people person and is very unpleasant and unfriendly. You felt like you were bothering her and had to walk on eggshells around her. Amazing to be such a short drive to town but so remote. Surrounded by peaceful pastures and sounds of nature. Warm friendly staff checking on your needs. Inviting atmosphere - I felt it was my house not just my room! Terrific breakfast, charming room decor. Just wonderful! more

Friday Harbor is a mixed bag. The food sucks for the most part, unless you want to spend $20 + per entree, so Friday Harbor itself was not that great of a place. It's more of a jumping off point for what the island has to offer. AND, the Trumpeter Inn was the optimal place to stage our island journey.... more
