One step up from tent camping (except my sleeping bag is cleaner than their rooms are). The shared bathrooms, green swimming pool, musty odors and dirty laundry in the closet didn't help either.

Well, camping in January is not recommanded.
Also, the pool was covered in 2004, so how could it have been green during your stay ?
