This was the first time we stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. The Carriage House gave us total privacy. Every afternoon we returned from an excursion to find fresh cookies waiting for us. Deb was very helpful in suggesting restaurants in the area (and there were excellent restaurants within walking distance). There was off street parking which was wonderful. We... More

My husband & I were thrilled to stay at A Yellow Rose. It was everything & more than we expected. The room was immaculate, adorably decorated w/unique, one- of- a- kind items & pictures, & our privacy was respected. The price was the best value for our money, esp compared to other properties in the Riverwalk area.We would recommend this establishment... We enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Yellow Rose in the Carriage House. Was wonderful. We either walked downtown on the riverwalk (about 10 min) or rode the trolley. Had a delicious lunch at the Tower of Americas restaurant and also at Mi Tierra. Enjoyed the piano music at Dirty Nelley's Irish Pub. An excellent B&B in the King... More

My husband and I stayed at the Yellow Rose for our weekend trip to San Antonio and we didn`t regret this for a single second. It is just so much more unique and charming than any chain hotel can offer. It is located in a lovely district only 10 mins walk to the Riverwalk, but this district alone is worth... More

Right in the heart of the King William historic district. An easy 20 minute walk (along the river walk) to the Alamo and downtown. Great hosts with an unusual system for breakfasts (not the conventional B and B thing) but it works well, especially if you enjoy a bit of independence. This is a really good B and B made... More

We came to San Antonio to visit family for a week and wanted the homey setting of a B and B. Our accommodations were very comfortable, breakfasts, brought to our room by Chef Deb, were a culinary delight and daily housekeeping was much appreciated. The King William area was fun to walk through, lots of wonderful restaraunts within walking distance,... More

I travel a lot for work and prefer staying at b&bs rather than the formula restaurants. A Yellow Rose provided me with everything I need and want. The neighborhood was quiet, restaurants are nearby, my room was clean and comfortable, I had a refrigerator for take away food...there was even a flashlight. If the weather had been better, I'd have... More

We visited San Antonio for a brief getaway before the holidays. Our room was perfect and Deb had great advice for how to spend our time. The River Walk lights surprised us with their beauty and the King William Historic District home tour was incredible. Deb told us to eat in the neighborhood and we enjoyed a large selection of... I've stayed here several times throughout the last few years and wouldn't change a thing. Perfect location nestled in the heart of the King William Historic District, yet just a few blocks away from great restaurants, the River Walk, galleries, and downtown. Rooms are comfy, clean, and nicely decorated without being fussy. Lots of thoughtful amenities like French press coffee,... More

I hadn't stayed in a b&b and was nervous. What a relief to have so much privacy and such a quiet environment. I really appreciated the breakfast and rate choices that let us opt out of paying for something we wouldn't use since we are not breakfast fans. We did enjoy the french press coffee in the room, though and... More
