I see what the fought for at the Alamo. These people were GREAT! This hotel was great for location and becuase of the Staff. They gave us the best they had to offer both in service and advice for where to eat. True local appreciation for the city. more

The staff at The Crockett are superb; especially Margarita, Eric and John who were very helpful in assisting us. We walked-in and asked if there is any room available. Margarita gave us a fantastic discounted drop-in rate with free continental breakfast. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms and hotel were clean but the services/amenities were minimal. Most of the rooms do not have a view and only look out upon the indoor reception area or front desk. The noise policy was not upheld. The A/C worked great and everything else seemed in order. Great weekend hotel! more

The people working at the hotel are great but the hotel has some problems. My room was to be an king executiive suite and the picture of the room (on Crockett's web page) clearly shows 2 rooms, however they gave me a room with a king bed and a couch thrown in the room. We stayed here the end of Sept. and loved this hotel. We were in room 226 and it was enormous! Really enjoyed a recent stay at the Crockett. The location is perfect for sightseeing and dining and there is a fantastic shopping mall located right next door with a great food court and easy access to the famed Riverwalk. I attended a convention in San Antonio and stayed at the Crockett 4 nights. The room was small, but nicely furnished. Free breaskfast was good. It is across the street from the Alamo, and the mall, and the river walk is a short walk. more
