Great location...walk across the street to the Alamo. Walk down the street to the Riverwalk...you can even walk to El Mercado (Mexican Market) but if it's too far for you, the trolley stops right in front of the Alamo and off you go. The room was comfortable, the bed was wonderful, the bathroom was nice and the staff was always... More

My wife and I took a "mini" vacation to San Antonio to see the Alamo and Riverwalk. We stayed for 3 days and had a good time. Loved walking the Riverwalk (only a block away from the hotel). Re-learned my Texas History (from the seventh grade) at the Alamo (across the street). I have lived in Texas my whole life... More

This hotel is across the street from the Alamo in downtown San Antonio and a very short walk to Riverwalk area. It is full of history and charm, as well as being modern and comfortable. Beds werer perfect and the pillows large and just right. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Staff was excellent, very low-key and homey... More

We had booked a number of rooms in this hotel for a conference. First off let's point out the good....room had a nice view over Alamo, location is great (but most downtown hotels seem to be in or around the river walk), most of the staff were polite and courteous. How this place has 4 diamond rating I really don't... More

I stayed at EM for 3 days in January, mostly because of overflow at the large conference hotel. It was a reawakening to the high quality and friendly service that a smaller privately-owned hotel can provide. The hotel, a restored San Antonio landmark, is literally across the street from Alamo. It is 100 yards to the river walk. The hotel... More

Ok first the good. The location of this hotel is great. Next door to the Alamo and a very short walk to the riverwalk area and a 10 minute walk to the convention center. Staff were all very friendly. Elevator is very quick. High shower heads. And now the not so good. Not sure if they gave me the room... More

My boyfriend reserved a King room with the jacuzzi/jetted tub. It was GREAT. The room was clean, spacious, and overall great. The restroom area and tub were clean and all in good condition. The hotel is nice... everyone we talked to of the staff was helpful and polite. I would definitely love to stay there again, i actually didn't want... More

The high points of this hotel are the 1) location and 2) storied history. But with the good also comes the bad. Location means that parking is at a premium and historic means a waft of mustiness pervades in the room. I reconciled these challenges by parking a block away on the street meter (free M-Sat from 6:00 p.m. -... More

We stayed at the Emily Morgan Hotel after finding a great deal there online. For something around $100/night, we stayed in a double room on the non-Alamo side of the building on the 9th floor. The lobby is quite nice actually, and the rooms are good (the furniture/decor is kind of early 2000/late 1990's style, which given the history of... More

Myself and 80 friends from high school stayed here for a reunion. The staff was great, the advertised free continental breakfast is actually a breakfast buffet or you can order off the menu. The eggs benedect were great! It's a short walk to the River Walk and just across the street from the alamo. I definitely would stay there again.... More
