Stayed because of it's location near Market Square. It's NOT close...takes a 4-5 block walk. The place is run down and not up to the typical Marriott "par". Marriott has built/ renovated numerous hotels in the Alamo area, but has let this one go. I recommend staying at the newer hotels in the downtown area for a few $s more. More

Excellent management here-----both resourceful & friendly. However I was just a bit surprised that our room was slightly worn. Not bad but the room was more Super-8 than Marriott. The pool area looked nice. There is a newer looking Fairfield next door, I'll book that next time. More
