The location is 15 minutes from downtown Salem. The management and staff are wonderful, helpful, and always trying to create a stress free and friendly environment. The rooms are large, warm, and clean. One of the best motels I have ever stayed at. The price is competitive and well worth it. You won't be disappointed. More

I would never stay at this hotel again. The whole stay was really weird. Upon arrival we went to our room, unpacked some items and decided to head out for dinner. My son left his phone charger plugged into the wall. When we returned that evening the charger was gone. I went crazy looking in the room thinking maybe he... More

Over the last five years, we've stayed here every time we are in town visiting family. It's reasonably priced and although not in the center of town, it is close enough to go back and forth to the local attractions. Since we get the suite, it works great with two kids - can put them to bed in one room... More

The Clipper Ship Inn is a real nice place to stay which is real close to all of Salem's attractions. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We were married in Salem and stayed at the hotel. My wife and I loved it so much that we left Maine to come back there the following... More

The woman who owned/managed the hotel was rude. We had already paid a nonrefundable deposit on the room and got there 15 minutes before checkin. They decided to put us in an upstairs room at the very far corner because the manager said she could get more money for the room we were originally given. We had to come back... More

Where do I start? The ridiculous $180/night rate for a room that should be rented by the half hour? The four requests for extra pillows unanswered by the management? The Dunkin Donuts rechargeable cards ($3 for each night) which weren't accepted at the local Dunkin Donuts? The dim 20 Watt bulbs giving the room a funereal ambiance? Where does one... More

Misleading involving the distance from Salem's historic attractions and museums. Neighborhood from this Inn to the Historic area is less desirable. Photographs in brochure and on the Webb differ greatly from the actual property. The office area was dirty and the one story units had large blue tarps on the roof. The manager/owner ( Susan ) was rude, argumentative and... More

this is the worst hotel, we stayed there with our guide dog and the owner tried to charge us for having the guide dog, when we showed her the A.D.A. Laws and explained to her that she could not charge us extra for the guide dog, she became abusive and rude. She said that she did not believie that the... More
