We were upgraded to a two bedroom loft and it was perfect for our family of five (three kids 7,5, and 18 months). The kids loved their upstairs loft and the room was very spacious. It looks a tiny bit dated, but the service was great (although you need to be prepared for a resort fee that negates the need... more

I was in Tucson for business and checked into the hotel late at night. I had booked on Priceline. A very rude employee informed me that I would not be able to check in without consenting to the $25 plus tax per night "resort fee". The form says that the fee is to cover "gratuties" among other things. Since I... more

Wether the reservation was made through The Lodge directly, or through a third party, it clearly states that the resort charges a resort fee. If the reservation is made through a third party, (Priceline, Hotels.com, Hotwire, etc.), you must agree to the resort fee, before it allows you to book. Unfortunately, sometimes guests do not read the agreement on these...

We have 2 large dogs and don't often travel with them but this hotel was not only fantastic for the dogs, but for my wife and I, as well. The Mountain View rooms are huge - suites, really, with great beds, a kitchenette, plush carpets, beautiful mountain views, and a great bathroom. It's on a golf course and the pathways... more

the hotel should just include the resort fee and be done with all the hard feelings about being told/not being told....I wasn't told, but I was prepared. I did have the food and beverage plan, so for $10 extra a night, we got $25 food and beverage credit per night. The resort fee was a wash. I was told we... more

Regarding the $25 PER DAY resort fee, when you book via Priceline/Hotwire/Expedia etc., there is NO pre-warning of this fee or the amount of the fee, just a generic warning in the terms and conditions that your booking may or may not include additional fees imposed by the hotel they allocate you. The reply by the management below regarding the... more

I felt very lucky to stay here! The staff was amazing, golf spectacular, a very beautiful setting. Rooms were a little dated, but huge-great to have all that space. I would certainly do this again if we were to return to Tucson! more

We did not get to stay here and I'm sure it is a lovely place. Our plans changed when the health of my wife's mother changed for the worse and we had to cancel our trip. All though we canceled a week before our reservation they have a 21 day cancellation policy and charged us a one night cancellation fee.... more

My wife and I met friends from Maui here last week, stayed for 4 nights, and had a wonderful time. The people that staffed the Lodge were all so nice, polite, and efficient. The rooms were huge, and quiet. The dining room was very good, and very reasonable. The waiters, and waitresses, were very nice. The location is probably the... more

Upon arrival, I was directed politely by the gateman, and a guest service young man was at my car door as I pulled up to the front. I was led directly to my room and checked in at that point - very nice feature. The room was huge, it felt more like an apartment, and included a small kitchen. The... more
