Wow. We loved everything about Blackhawk Lodges, including a lovely new deck overlooking the Fall River right behind our #1 Cabin, currently not on their website. Randy and Teresa are exceptional hosts and I will share more about them than the wonderful cabin. Extremely friendly upon arrival, Randy put up a hummingbird feeder once he saw our interest right outside... More

On an off season Sunday night, 7pm, with a winter storm predicted, my daughter and I stopped at 7 motel/cabin accommodations along Fall River Road, all with vacancy signs on. NOT ONE even answered the door until the lovely folks at Blackhawk Lodge greeted us with smiles, and a good to see you! We were ensconced In a two story... More

On the second day of our weekend getaway in Estes Park my husband and I decided it would be nice to stay in a cabin and chose Blackhawk Lodges. I couldn't believe our good fortune since we had not made reservations and many of the other cabin resorts in the area were already booked. The lodges are in close proximity... More

We have just stayed at Blackhawk Lodges for four nights as part of our ten week tour of the states. We stayed in cabin 9 which was perfect for the two of us. We loved the log fire with a free bundle of logs each day. The location is good five minutes drive from the park entrance and to Estes... More

We got everything we hoped for in our little knotty-pine, wood fire cabin.the location was perfect, right outside town & just short of the park entrance. We brought our own food & had everything we needed in the little kitchen. Our king size bed was super comfortable & I had a great nights sleep after a day of snow-shoeing &... More

Located on the banks of the Fall River as it flows out of the Rocky Mountain National Park just a mile or so away, this little resort is a treat. Family owned, it first has a friendly atmosphere and the cabin where we stayed was spacious, clean, well kept and perfect. The fireplace was a wonderful addition to other resorts... More

Very helpful and friendly owners, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay at Blackhawk. The location was great and close to everything we wanted to do. The owners recommended places to eat and things to do in the area. They were very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again!

Wonderful location on Fall River, near the National Park. And the owners are the most friendly and welcoming people. They go out of their way to help, even providing charcoal for the grill. The beds are very comfortable, and the cabins were very clean. We had two cabins, and I definitely recommend the location on the river.

My friend booked the cabin after reading reviews on this website. We were more than pleasantly surprised! Cabins are very close to the National Park, not even two miles from downtown and shopping, but next to the creek and peaceful. We bought food at Safeway and cooked in the fully-equipped kitchen. Randy and Teresa (owners) were more than hospitable, cabin... More

The Blackhawk Lodges, close to Rocky Mountain National Park vistas and Estes Park entertainment provided the very home environment we needed for a family reunion for three generations of kids and adults. The fresh updates and amenities accomodated our families in four adjacent cabins. Grandparent, parents and kids from 2 to 10 alike enjoyed the immaculate log cabins, hot tub... More
