5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2012 NEW

Nestled in the beautiful valley between Long's Peak and the Twin Sisters, Aspen Lodge feels wonderfully secluded, but is in fact close (10 min drive) to Estes Park and only an hour from Boulder. I stayed in a room in the main lodge, which has a woodsy, but luxurious log cabin feel. My room was comfortable and very clean, with... More

Aspen Lodge was just taken over by new owners in May of 2012. Staff at the Aspen Lodge are very friendly and responsive to guest's requests. Meals were tasty and plentiful and the chef caters to people with food restrictions of all kinds. I was there for a Taiji Intensive weekend and was really glad to have delicious food available... I recently stayed at the Aspen Lodge while taking a tai chi class there. The views are breathtaking in all directions and the grounds reflect the uncomparable beauty of the Colorado mountains. My room was very clean and the bed and pillows were more comfortable than my own bed. I usually find it hard to sleep in any bed than... More

Stayed in a cabin with my family. Cabin needed to be cleaned and maintained better-- very moldy tiles in tub, coffee maker water receptacle was missing it's lid and had a layer of dust in it (so no coffee for me), the one window that should have opened had no handle, and the mouse visiting us was uh... interesting. Had... More

I'm pretty sure we were the only people staying at Aspen Lodge while we were there. The rooms are spacious and very comfy, and we liked the wood construction of it all. The views of Longs Peak from our room were amazing. The food in the restaurant was really very good indeed - we were very pleasantly surprised, as we'd... More

Traveled here with friends for a relaxing, mountain get-away. I stayed here with my family in the 50's and 60's and had very fond memories. When we checked in there was a serious problem with our reservation. However, Nan (owner?) worked hard to accommodate us and, although, we didn't get the cabin experience we had selected over other area lodges,... More

Recently stayed at aspen lodge in Estes Park. If I had gone expecting a 5 star resort maybe I would have been disappointed, but it was relaxing, quiet, rustic to a tee and price was very reasonable. Food, dining and staff were all very good. I will definetly return there for a longer stay. Cabins were rustic and bathrooms were small... More

Off the Hook! The Aspen Lodge in Estes Park, Colorado September 23-25, 2011. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff had kindly reminded us when making reservations, “this is a rustic, mountain setting, with wireless access only in the main lodge. The rooms and cabins do not have wireless access or televisions. There are televisions in the lounge.” We were... More

Spent one night in the main lodge. King room. Very comfortable bed. Linens were new and room was clean. This room is for leisure not working, no cell service, no tv, no wifi. On site restaurant had good food and cold beer. Relaxed on the wood deck and enjoyed the view and watched the humming birds. Viewed elk in the... More

Pictures on the website are very misleading. The cabins were very dated. I was disappointed, expecting a nice cabin, and got a mediocre cabin for way to much money. I won't recommend this place to anyone. The waiter at the restaurant was rude and they didn't want us there very long because they had a conference in two hours. If... More
