If it's hot, like in July and you're sleeping there then be prepared to wake up feeling lighter because you've sweated all night long. No A/C, no fans and can't open the windows. The carpet in our room was dirty. Also, our 1 year old son found a used diabetic glucouse testing strip on the floor. If you're planning to... More

I recently stayed here for 2 nights while on a guided hiking trip in the Rocky Mountains with a small group. While The Baldpate Inn’s (TBI) address is Estes Park, it is a good ways out of town on South Highway 7 near Lilly Lake and Twin Sisters Mountain. I felt isolated here, but that is not TBI’s fault as... More

The Baldpate Inn is a pretty groovy place - if you are comfortable sneaking downstairs in your pajamas to get that first cup of coffee in the morning. In the summer, there is nothing better than cradling a cup of coffee on the porch, watching the sun coming up in the mountains AND watching an intergalactic hummingbird war! More

My husband & I had our wedding and reception in June of 2010 at The Baldpate Inn. All of our guests were from out of town, so we occupied a majority of the lodging rooms/cabins. The entire staff was very accomodating and made everyone feel like they were right at home! The service was perfect! Every question, no matter how... More

My daughter and I spend our Memorial Day weekend here and had a very relaxing stay. Close to town and close to other hiking and trails, if you're into that. Food was great and scenery very relaxing. Didn't think just soup and salad would be much was pleasantly surprised. More

We chose the Baldpate Inn on my sister's recommendation. The inn is old, but very lovely. It is literally on the side of a mountain, with a good view down toward Estes Park ( 7 miles away). The entrance to the inn is directly across the road from Lily Lake (Rocky Mountain National Park.) The rooms are very comfortable, but... More

Hotel has wonderful view. Breakfast is great and large. Lunch soup/salad bar is quite good, if a little pricey. We stayed in the Twin Sisters Cabin. The room was nice, not fancy or great, but nice and cozey. The hotel is a little bit of a drive from downtown Estes Park. More

It could have been a commercial for the iPhone. A hungry family of 5 sits in a parking lot in Estes Park, determined to find something better than the standard fare. Dad pulls out the iPhone and goes to Frommer's. The #1 choice is The Baldpate Inn. He searches Google Maps, clicks Directions to Here, and sets out on a... More

We had heard about this place from friends for their food, and have brought family and friends here for the dinner, the key museum, and world-class hummingbird watching! There is so much history and natural beauty here we decided to spend a weekend here to take it all in. We had larger than expected room with a king bed and... More
