This is a perfect family vacation spot. My family of five (kids ages 10-15) and our two dogs stay here at least once a year during the off-season (flexible home school schedule). We appreciate how much freedom we have as we move from activity to activity, happy with the choices, enjoying the views and doing whatever we feel like doing.... more

Our group of nine friends stayed in a cabin with beautiful mountain views from literally every window. The stone fireplace in the living/dining/kitchen great room drew us together and warmed us in this spacious, yet cozy space. The fully equiped kitchen was extremely handy for such a large group and the bedrooms were roomy with comfortable beds. We fell asleep... more

We had a great time with the kiddos this weekend at the fall festival. The staff was great and they had lots of great activities that were fun for all of us. The kids had a three day reprieve from whining and fighting and I didn't have to cook. We went downtown for trick-or-treating, and it was the best we'd... more

I have stayed here at least 5 times and go back annually (or more frequently). The 2 bedroom cabin with a fireplace is our favorite. No TVs - so we usually just bring a portable one to watch DVDs on. However, just watching the wildlife and mountain ranges in enough of a show. more

If you have never heard elk bugling, you need to. The sounds of elk bugles echoing through a valley stir one's soul. The colorful aspens set the stage for a wonderful weekend. more

We stay annually at the YMCA of the Rockies for a weekend in Oct. This year we experienced cold and snow instead of the usual sun and autumn warmth. However, it gave us opportunity to try new experiences: the craft center and roller skating were particularly enjoyable. more

This is the fifth time we've stayed at the YMCA of the Rockies. My family and I surprised one of my co-workers during his recent visit and took him up to the mountains. The cabin we were assigned was great. It was quiet, comfortable, and everything was in working order. The locale of the YMCA of the Rockies is about... more

Yes: I get it. If you are a church group or family on a budget and want to be near the Rockies this may be the place for you. But if you are over 40 and seeking a comfortable bed, a beautiful view (not surrounded 360 degrees by parking lots), and indoor serenity (not dormitory or youth hostel style slumber... more

We spent 4 days at YMCA of the Rockies and had a wonderful time. We had the cafeteria meal plan and I appreciated being able to sit down to prepared food right away, as we were traveling with younger kids. Our rooms were in the new Long's Peak Lodge and were quite comfortable with 2 queen beds and tub/shower. No... more

The YMCA of the Rockies is a great and affordable vacation for the whole family. We loved the location being so close to Rocky Mountain National Park. We liked the ease of the cafeteria style dining especially in the morning. The food was good, not great, but very filling and a pretty good variety. We did get tired of it... more
