As snowbirds, Macon GA is our favorite stop on the way to FL. The rates are very reasonable; it's close to the expressway (not too close, so there's no traffic noise). They also permit pets (extra charge)

In summer lots of poor kids swimming in pool all day and night screaming and even throwing rocks. Even when "attended" by parents. Was told at gas station that they let neighborhood kids in as long as with parents but they deny it. Nobody needs screaming kids until midnight. Or noisy adults in the parking lot.

This is a low budget type hotel. It is very clean, and the area is quiet. The beds and pillows are very, very comfortable! If you are loking for a hotel with perks, this is not the hotel for you. However if you want a nice comfortable, friendly place, then this is a good place to stay.

We enjoyed staying at this location. Actually so much that I wish we could have found another Rodeway on the second night of our trip.
