Just last night got back to Honiara from Sanbis were I celebrated my 50th birthday and had a great 4 nights stay which included 4 dives and a trip to Skull Island. The staff at the resort and the dive master and guide to Skull Island were all great and really knew their stuff about the local history and places... More

We were the grumpy old english couple. We admit to making a mistake in choosing Sanbis, especially after UEPI. We really love snorkelling and as I am disabled, had hoped to have a magic visit to this resort. Access to the reef was difficult, as the little beaches were cluttered with debris, but we did manage to get on the... More

One simply can't win them all... In fact we, after two days of irrational behaviour, a few of the other guests and I were discussing the option of making you an offer to move you to the Gizo Hotel instead for free and we marginally decided against it. I must admit, I am not a fan of jet skis either... More

Sanbis Resort has been built on one of the best sites I have ever been to and Hans the owner has used the location to maximum effect, it is a stunning place. To get to Sanbis you hop from Honiara and take a small boat from an island which basically acts as an airstrip. The first view of the resort... More

We stayed at Sanbis a few days ago. I really loved the place! The bungalows are clean and the property is well maintaint and eco-friendly. It was our first resort in the Solomon what gave us a western luxury feeling! The only downside I can think of is that they have a bit of a problem with the fresh water... More

Having just got engaged and being originally from Fiji so have experienced the best resorts locally and internationally and coming to the Solomon Islands was always going to be a challenge I thought. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised!!!! The Sanbis is Eco friendly and the locals are the friendliest most accommodating people I have experienced worldwide. They go... More

This resort is really beautifully sited and located. The staff, many of whom are of Gilbertese origin are lovely and will do all they can to be helpful.Transfers run on Solomon time are can be early or late and it is advisable to double check with the staff. The diving is stunning - some of the very best we have... More

We wanted to go somewhere really unique and not commercialized. We stayed in "the Lodge" within Sanbis since there were two couples and some wanted air-conditioning. We were greeted at the airport and led to the boat which took us to the island. When we stepped into the lodge, I was thrilled. The design of the open air living room,... More

Spent the day here a couple of times. Great design your own Pizza's, starting from $170 SBD. Fantastic snorkelling around the resturant. The boat goes over at 11am and returns at 5pm from the Gizo Hotel pier. There is also the option of going over for dinner, leaving on the 5pm boat and coming back with the staff change over... More

It was a toss-up between Sanbis and Fatboys and Sanbis won us over due to their no children policy. Fatboys is on the same island, however, and after visiting it one afternoon for lunch, we were glad we had booked at Sanbis. The flights were all good and on time and we were met by a Sanbis employee who took... More
