Stayed here at the beginning of April. Everything was better than expected, Mark was very welcoming and helpful on check in, room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Walked out the sliding door onto the deck to have alpine views was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Franz Josef. More

The apartment accommodation for four was excellent, but as there was only one bathroom and certain members of our party felt that we needed two we were given an additional apartment on our second night at no extra charge. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and have a mini-kitchen. the real plus was the jacuzzi room (great to lounge in after a long touring walk0 as well as a washer/dryer for your use. Mark was especially helpful with various recommendations on things to do. Next door is the Blue Ice Cafe (upstais) has good food, music and free pool table. More

We stayed at the Lodge when there was bad weather and so cannot comment on the views. Room was quite well appointed although lots of small things did not work well, e.g. TV remote control, table lamps, front door lock, spa bath (slow to fill) and shower. My wife and I stayed at the Alpine Glacier Motel while visiting our son in Franz Josef Glacier. We were delighted by the large, comfortable clean room, the cheerful assistance we received from the reception desk, and the central location. We would certainly stay there again. More
