Large, comfortable studio rooms within walking distance of everywhere in town. The Alice May, a fine pub, is just steps away. Clean, modern guest laundry. Takes the office staff a little bit of time to emerge from their personal quarters to tend to customers at the desk.

We found Punga Grove to be comfortable and it met all our requirements for our short stay in Franz Josef. The motel is reasonably basic but was clean and spacious, and the little sitting area overlooking the bush at the rear of the property was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Great room, with a balcony straight into your own rainforest. The room even had a woodburner stove. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath which i managed to fit in, so some lovely baths had there.
