All the exposed wood was wonderful. We had a room in the building out front with a patio with a view of the glacier (photo included). The room was huge and the breakfasts great. Although Westwood Lodge resembles a motel, it really is quality accommodation. We were a bit surprised by the appearance as it is quite expensive to stay here. However, once inside we were happy to discover what we had paid for. We stayed in a Coachhouse suite which was spacious, modern and very clean. We had tea & coffee making facilities... more

We were there for 2 days and it rained almost the whole time BUT it was wonderful sitting in the large was a large fireplace and large windowns and confortable couches. The host was extrememly accomdating always bringing out 'nibbles'. There was no extra charge for this, she just did it because she flet bad that it was raining. Breakfest... more

Our pine lodge was roomy,well designed and very comfortable. It is set back from the highway in lovely gardens so was quiet and relaxing. It is a short car ride to Franz Josef to the glacier and restaurants(Beeches was great). Paul and Kaz were helpful hosts. more
