You can categorize Misty Peaks as Hotel or Home Stay but it is perfect in either category. The location is perfect for one whom plan to visit Lake Matheson at sun rise or sun set and also close to Fox Glacier's town center. I recommended you have dinner at the hotel. I love both my dinner and breakfast here. More

Stayed at Misty Peaks with two friends as part of a roadtrip of the South Island, NZ, and left feeling very much at home. Lee and Dave put on an excellent spread, from wine and cheese of an evening to a full breakfast the next day and provided entertaining conversation at night (when we weren't glued to the property's wi-fi!)....
