We spent just 1 night there en route to Queenstown. The hotel is very dated, but certainly good value for money. The Staff were most helpful, and super-friendly. This hotel is in need of lots of money spent on it. It may be a good or fair or whatever hotel, but its listing is misleading. Mt Cook Village is many miles away from Omararama. If you do not live here in N.Z., you need to know this, for your planning. That said, accommodation in the actual Village may be expensive. More

External appearances much nicer than interior. TV was broke. Laundry was broke. Radio was broke. Staff on their last legs. But wonderful all the same. Rooms were a piece of recent history. Omarama excellent country village. More
