We booked a small room for just the two of us and this is maybe where we went wrong. The room was tiny as was the en suite. It all looked as though it had not been refurbished for many, many years. There was no sink for washing up, just a plastic bowl. The free wifi was non existant unless... More

We stayed here as a stop-off between Motueka and Christchurch, travelling with our 3 month old son. Having travelled up to Motueka via Kaikoura and Blenheim, we wanted to return through the Kahurangi national park and the beautiful Lewis Pass. We'd heard bad things about Springs Junction and Maruia Springs, so chose Murchison as our half-way point. It's a small... More

We ended up here after our booking at the local holiday park was overlooked and left us without accommodation at the start of our family holiday. While it looks a little dated from the outside we were very happy with the unit we stayed in. The bathrooms have been recently refurbished by the looks, beds are reasonably comfortable, rooms spacious... More

We booked the family unit, which was very clean, tidy, spacious and suitable for a family. Upon arrival the proprietor was welcoming and removed the pool cover for the teens to have a swim. Motel is convenient to amenities, value for money and we would definitely return. Thank you More

My husband and i got a family unit as we were travelling with my parents. Some of the unit has been refurbished like the bathroom and bedrooms, but the kitchen was a little outdated. However is was very clean and for what we paid for it, it was excellent value for money. More

We stay there for one night from Nelson to Greymouth. For the standard studio, it is very small. It may be the smallest room I have been stayed in NZ. The pillow and the bed has a smell, which took me 2 days to wash out. No shampoo... There are not a lot choices in that little town. So if... More

We stayed here one night while travelling from Christchurch to Nelson. Murchison was a fine little town, in a beautiful valley setting, and the motel is located in a quiet back street near to a lovely riverside walk. We spent the evening in the local pub/hotel watching a Rugby World Cup match with the locals. Our main problem with the... More

We thought ourselves very lucky when we chanced to stay here. Our two bedroom unit had everything supplied that you could possibly need. The bathroom was near new and every room was so clean and organized. Fresh milk and free wifi were more good points. This is a great value place to stay with good old fashioned pub up the... More
