I stayed with Martin and Luisa in June of 2011 and it was fantastic. The breakfast was wholesome and delicious with a generous spread of fruit, cereal, and yogurt. I stayed a week and the rooms were spotless and the linens were changed daily. The bathroom was very nice with plenty of hot water. Martin and Luisa really care about... More

The Altiplano was a welcome change for us. It was the only spotless place we stayed at during our three months in South America. The bed linens were luxurious, the view from the large windows was wonderful, there was cable TV with several English channels, plenty of hot water, a delicious breakfast consisting of artisanal bread, cheese, jams, fresh juice,... We stayed at Altiplano January 2012 (5 days) based on the posted reviews and were completely satisfied. Everything is "as advertised" and "as recommended" by others on Tripadvisor. We recommend Altiplano to anyone seeking a clean, quiet, secure and relaxing place to stay while visiting Tarija. More

We had a great time staying here. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. This is definitely a bed and breakfast we will come back too. They made our experience here in Tarija that much more memorable. More

This place is very unique, a quiet place in a residential neighborhood of the lovely city of Tarija. The views from the beautiful room are spectacular and inspire peace and relaxation. The breakfasts were delicious and impeccable. This place receives 5 stars in every category of a good stay that I can think of. Thanks the hospitable service of Martin... More

We so enjoyed our stay with Martin and Louisa. They were so accommodating and helpful. They suggested great restaurants, booked wine tours, booked transportation to Salta, and scheduled haircuts for us. Everything was very clean and decorated beautifully! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our plane was very late getting in, but Martin was there to greet us. It is obvious... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Martin and Luisa. They were terrific hosts. The rooms and facilities were immaculate. Because the B&B is centrally located it was easy to access all parts of Tarija, and Martin and Luisa's local knowledge was invaluable. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to relax in comfort. The language school they also run... More

Lovely B&B, bright, fresh and clean. Hosts Martin & Louisa really look after you and the breakfasts are superb. You are within a nice walk of the Principal Plaza and Plaza Sucre, and you can practically throw a stone over to Parque Bolivar. So the location is great for getting around the small city, going to cafes or restaurants. And... More

Our second time staying at Residencial Altiplano was even better than the first time. Martin and Luisa are always incredible hosts—they strike the perfect balance between being helpful and hospitable and providing the comfort, privacy, and relaxation weary travelers need. They offered valuable advise and pointers about how to get around town, what restaurants to visit (and which to avoid),... More

How lucky were we to find this fresh, bright, clean, comfortable, friendly oasis in the lively town of Tarija. Matin and Luisa are a NZ couple who have bought the refinements that NZer's know best, on how to do an excellent B&B. I loved the muesli and fresh fruit breakfast and the best coffee in Bolivia. We had visitors during... More
