It's been two years since we've been but we loved the Grand Wailea. The location was fabulous. It is sunny and dry our entire stay. The beach was gorgeous and the pools were great for the kids (and adults, too). My children loved this place so much. I loved going to the adult area and escaping the kids for some... more

The Grand Wailea Resort is a great place to go for vacation. Te Grand Wailea has very nice rooms that are very clean and roomy. It also has availability to the ocean and for kids even pools and waterslides. The food is great. The prices are a little high but worth it. If your planning a trip to Hawaii consider... more

stayed for a conference. riverpool , slides , water elevator great fun. room was beautiful and chairs are free with umbrellas at the ocean. can eat reasonably in the area and buy food and liquor at the Grand Wailea shops. There is an ABC store in the GW shops to get food and wine and beer for room. reasonable local... more

We checked in today after finding the fairmont kea lani too stuffy and spatially challenged (all the pool noise echoed up to our room). This place offers complimentary upgrades for honeymooners and champagne ...something the Fairmont didn't too but promised. The ocean view is superb, the grounds are breat taking if your into tropical beauty and a maze of pools... more

Yikes - this place is so expensive for what you get! We just started a 1 week stay here and I have massive sticker shock. There are no reasonable restaurant options - $13 for a very average small kids pizza. So far the food hasn't been bad, but certainly nowhere near justifying the price. And there's nothing else reasonable within... more

I had the opportunity to stay during the later half of January 2010 for five days. We had a nice room which was overlooking the waterslide, pool and partial ocean view, even though we only paid for garden view. The service I experienced was better than most in Hawaii. Everyone seemed happy to have business, during these trying times. The... more

I stayed at the Grand Wailea from 1/16-1/23. We had a king room, Terrace View which had a beautiful bathroom and was easily accessible to the pools and restaurant. After staying at a number of luxury hotels, I was underwhelmed by the room which is the standard room (upgraded to king rather than 2 twin beds), but wowed by the... more

We went to the Grand Wailea for our Honeymoon last summer! We both loved it and thought it was beautiful! The pools and water-park were a blast and the beach is clean and relaxing.(though a bit crowded) Our room was always extra clean, and they even go through the trouble of putting rose petals on the bed each night when... more

We stayed at the Grand Wailea in early Jan/10. It really is a beautiful hotel on a beautiful stretch of beach. Room We had a few problems with our room during our stay - the toilet broke, the safe broke, and the TV broke...seems like alot of problems for a room during a 7 day stay. I will say, however,... more

The hotel is great as you would expect for the price. I have nothing but nice things to say about the room (1069 is right on the end over the pool), the restaurants (Humu is great but avoid the eel), and the pool....lots of little nooks and crannies to explore. Really good for kids but there is an "adults only"... more
