We went for a motorcycle weekend with some close friends. I picked the Port Albert Inn and all I can say is we are re-booking it for next year. Mark is a very nice man that cooked and looked after us. He was the only one there, so cooked the supper and breakfast in shifts. We didn't mind at all,... More

Port Albert Inn has become our "home away from home" for vacationing. We stay there while we attend the Celtic Festival in Goderich. Mark is a wonderful host with a diverse history of the area. We appreciated the knowledge he shared in helping us locate the homestead of ancestors. It's great listening to his stories of the area. This year... More

This was the worst ever trip experience we had in many many years. The owner is manipulative and forgets all that he promised. He was called 4-5 times to book cottage and inn however he does not have any computer to proces or update any changes or customer information. He lied and ripped us off for his fault. To top... More

This small and old inn in Port Albert is somewhat of a hidden treasure. It's located just off the shores of Lake Huron. The town in very small and works perfectly as a get away from busy society, but is still close enough to larger towns for a quick bite at Tim Hortons. From booking to checking out, the entire... We stayed for one night but would have liked to have stayed longer. The place is interesting, friendly staff (family run I believe), and very relaxed. It took us a little bit to unwind from the drive and settle into the laid back pace, but once we did it was fantastic. There's a cute convenience store across the street that... More

Port Albert, and the Inn at the Port itself , is like stepping into a very quiet, untravelled and uncomplicated part of the country. Just what was needed for a quick holiday away from our busy lives. The Inn is wonderful. Exactly what a traditional type of Inn should be. Lots of lovely woodwork, old fashioned and REAL tin ceilings,... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our host carried our bags and showed us to our room. Our room was very cosy. It had a fireplace, a canopy bed, and the bathroom was very unique and clean. Our host (Mark) was very helpfull. He provided us directions to the theater and shops in the nearby town of Goderich. He... More
