The hosts were very friendly, hospitable and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and restful - full of quirky character! Very well provided with toiletries and refreshments. A good nights sleep followed by excellent breakfasts. Very well located for Snowdonia and all N Wales attractions. We did just miss a decent TV in the room, and a small chair squeezed... More

If you are looking for a place to stay, this is it. And it is not just that it is perfectly situated right in the countryside a little walk from the village with the walks starting from the front door, the yummy food, the impeccable service and the cosy rooms. At first you might be taken aback with the friendliness... More

We stayed at Penmachno for 3 nights in April and received a very warm welcome – including a delicious Welsh Cake and much needed cuppa. We stayed in the blue room which has really lovely views (even from the bathroom!) and a very good shower. The beds were comfy and the room had everything we could need including a bowl... More

This review is a long time coming. Me and my wife have been visiting Penmachno Hall (PH) since 2005, and I can’t believe we have not written a review. If there was a category which was above “Excellent”, I would have no hesitation in placing PH into this category. Dubai has a six star hotel, North Wales has Penmachno Hall.... More

Didnt realise how important feed back was until today so review is a bit late but! Fantastic should say it all, the welcome with the welsh cakes and tea was great, the room was a good size, clean and well stocked. The honesty bar was a breath of fresh air, back to the good old days and im only 37!!... More

We have stayed at Penmachno Hall on many occasions now and are always extremely impressed with the quality and hospitality that is afforded to us from the proprietors. The accommodation is well presented with good facilities, both the welsh supper and dinner have always been superb. The range of wines is good and advice exceptional. Would happily recommend to anyone... More

Set on the outskirts of a quiet town near Betws-y-coed, this house with character and beautiful views is the ideal base to explore North Wales. The room we stayed at was charming and the toiletries of the ensuite were of a high standard. The full English breakfast got you going the whole day and Simon was the perfect host. He... More

Our recent weekend stay was just as we would have wished. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, excellent food and remarkable attention to detail. I have a special dietary requirement which was thoughtfully catered for. Stunning peaceful setting. Next time we'll try the five course Saturday meal! Yes, I'm sure there will be a next time! More

We spent two nights at Penmacho Hall and it genuinely felt like we were staying at a friends house rather than customers at a B&B. That's the kind of welcome you get from Simon and Lorraine. I can't fault this place at all, the plaudits from previous customers were what convinced me to book and I was not disappointed at... More

There are so many WOW! reviews for this guest-house I hesitate to complain but must point out that the twin room we had was tiny, there were no chairs and the portable TV was perched high on top of a wardrobe. Hosts were terribly friendly but perhaps a shade over-attentive. More

Each of our 3 bedrooms is individually designed and furnished. For example one has two large armchairs, one has a table and two chairs and the third has a hand-crafted wooden window seat overlooking the garden. Our website provides guests with detailed descriptions of the facilities to be found in each room. It also offers a highly detailed virtual tour... More
