The Captain's House is a beautifully presented holiday home which easily accomodated our large group of 12, which included a 1 year old. The kitchen was a well equipped hub of the house with a lovely courtyard full of character. The location was ideal giving us easy access to the beach and the town with a good choice of resteraunts... We stayed at The Captain's House for 3 nights and it was just perfect. The decor is immaculate and no expense has been spared when fitting out this B&B. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit, especially a breakfast outside under a clear blue sky overlooking the sea!. The breakfasts are delicious, the service and hospitality wonderful. What more could... More

We stayed here for my 50th birthday just for one night and it was a dream, the room was amazing i could lay in the bath and look out to sea, everything about the place was perfect, my husband had rang and ordered me a birthday cake which was made by the landlady and it was beautifull. On the morning... More

We loved it. The room was beautiful, spacious and well decorated. Great sea-front location and views. Plesant and professional owners and staff. Excellent food. I have never stayed at a better B&B. More

This B&B is an excellent choice for families. We stayed for two nights in the Loylies suite with our two year old son. The second bedroom and lounge meant that we could stay away somewhere without tiptoeing around when he went to bed. The owners were particulalry helpful with a highchair and books to keep him amused over breakfast. This... More

We stayed at the captains house for 2 nights and from the moment we arrived we were really welcomed into Captain's House by Gillian and James. We stayed in the Zoe room for the first night which was really lovely, although it was cosy, the views made up for that together with the beautiful furnishings. On our second night, we... More

I booked this for a one night stay with my mum, We stayed in the Loylie suite which was decorated very well, with a huge bath in the bathroom! There are also lots of special touches such as an espresso machine and homemade shortbread. The rooms were spotless, as was the breakfast room. There is a lovely view of the... More

We enjoyed everything about staying at Captain's House - a really super B&B. We stayed in Zoe which although smaller in size (the website does make this clear as did the owners when booking) is still a lovely room with superb views over the beach and upto the lighthouse. Being able to sit up in the huge bed in the... More

This B & B is by far one of the best . The charming hosts, Gillian and James go out of their way to be helpful and nothing appearst o be too much trouble for them. We stayed in Emelia and apart from glorious sea views had everything you could possibly wish for. King size bed with crisp linen, many... More

First impressions were not encouraging with parking in a dark dingy yard to the rear on the hotel next to a 'social club' . Most of the rooms also face this yard with a nice view of the dust bins which may be an advantage to keep an eye on your vehicle. Breakfast was fine but opening a packet of... More
