Nothing special about this place. I can say that I felt safe in the location. Barstow is known for being a rundown town with a drug problem, so being in a good location is ideal (I didn't get the feel of a rundown town during my stay). AC was awful, though. I couldn't feel it. If you are tired and pressed for time, I suppose this hotel would have to do, but if you have time to plan and research, try to find somewhere else to stay. Decent low-mid range motel that was booked for $65 / night on hotwire. When I checked my business card account I saw the hotel charged me $25 even though the bill was paid in full through Hotwire. This is an ok BW just off the I-15 in Barstow. Might be worth 60-70 max. Barstow is a dive in the desert, dont even know why its here but dont stay long. Its another weird town in a state with way too many weird towns. more

We found ourselves in the desert late at night and found the Best Western Desert Villa. We had a great night, very nice people and a wonderful breakfast. As usual with Best Western's, a good night at a good price. I would highly reccomend this hotel and will be back if we're ever in the area again. more
