Having visited literally hundreds of hotels in cities and villages, over 40 countries in 5 continents, I now place the multitude lodging alternatives under a critic's magnifying glass, basing my selection purely on personality and the gracious resources available through TripAdvisor. What a pleasant surprise it has been to find this hidden jewel, now in the Historic Hotels of America... More

There are not many hotels available in Concord, but that is okay because this place is quite a gem. It located at the center, a quick walk from the downtown with many restaurant options, as well as around the corner from the gorgeous and endless Sleepy Hollow cemetery. We stayed in a ground floor suite that was big enough for... More

Concord is a great place for a weekend trip and this is the perfect place to stay. The Inn has a nice historical feel, which was in keeping with all the historical (and literary) sites we'd come up to see. Fortunately though the rooms have been recently renovated, so you really get the best of both worlds. The food served... More

On a business trip in Concord, I stayed for a few days in the Concord Inn. I chose it to avoid the regular chain hotels which were similarly priced, but were located on the interstates in stead of on the quaint, cute square of Concord. The Colonial Inn pretty much is what the name says. An old hotel with history.... More

This historic Inn has charm and comfort. The room and bathroom were very clean and had all the necessary amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Concord has many quaint shops and historical sites within walking distance. A very pleasant stay

The hotel was very clean and cozy. The bathroom was impeccably clean. The only issue I had, which was minor, was the noise level. That is not something that usually bothers me, but in the next room there was a child screaming and crying and it was very loud that even the TV couldn't drown it out. Otherwise, the history... More

One of several places in a very historical and quaint little village not far from Boston (translate that to uber-expensive and desirable). Like most of them, wanting to keep history as it is, the place looks as if it is still in the 1800s everywhere. You can smell the dust and hear the boards creak while an attempt is made... More

Our group stayed here on a business trip. The site is very historical and apparently a bit haunted as well although I did not see anything. The rooms are well appointed and updated with flat screen TVs and unique decor that sets this inn apart from the typical business hotel. The hair dryer is medium size and the bathroom mirror... More

This is a traditional New England hostelry, dead center in the lovely town of Concord (convenient to Boston by train). The best features of the hotel are its charming public spaces and its comfortable (and surprisingly lively) tavern. The worst features are the room, bed and bath sizes. The "double bed" is hardly big enough for two adolescent children, let... More

Great location for touring - visiting this historic part of New England. Inn is a classic, olde New England Inn, maze-like interior, but quaint and comfortable. Room was small but perfect for my purposes on a business trip. Internet connection fine, bathroom - shower were ideal, if smallish. Dining room had excellent dinner, with local selection of cuisine. Lovely desserts,... More
