we stayed two nights 13/14th May 2012 in what has to be the most beautiful setting - mountain views and stunning gardens. Plus the best value and best quality breakfast in the whole of Spain (and probably France too). The staff are lovely and the owner was very helpful when our car broke down - we needed a translator but... More

We stayed at el Habana over Easter weekend, a very busy weekend in Spain, so we were prepared for a busy setting... On the contrary, the atmosphere there was very relaxed. The personal attention at the reception was something we really appreciated. The place was everything we were looking for for that specific trip!!! More

We spent 2 night here in October, we booked the self contained suite adjoining the main house. The hotel itself is a little difficult to find, even with GPS, but part of that was down to roadworks on the motorway which forced us onto another exit road. We called the owner who gave us precise directions , so make sure... More

We were only two of three couples at the Habana in our stay there. The write up describes the property as peaceful and colonial in atmosphere -- quite true. The beautiful gardens with the many specimen plants are a joy to any gardener. The food is plentiful and of a good quality at reasonable prices. We upgraded to a garden... More

We treasured our stay at El Habana in 2006 as one of the most memorable holidays ever. This time we returned with a group of friends from Australia, the US, Germany and the UK. The experience was everything we remembered the first time and we were so pleased to be able to share it with friends. The ambience is just... More

We have been going to El Habana every time we go to Asturias (usually every other year) for about 10 years now, and we have never been disappointed. Our favourite room is the ground floor room which opens straight on to the beautiful garden, with a view of the mountains behind. This year, at our request, Sirio, the proprietor, showed... More

We booked this hotel on the strength of other reviews but were very disappointed. Our bathroom had been affected by a leak in the room upstairs and there were big damp stains on the ceiling. The pool area was very neglected with weeds and moss on the terrace, the garden furniture was rusty and the poolside shower dirty. The garden... More

Thank you for your comments. We had a problem with a leak in the bathroom, which has already been fully repaired. As for the pool, we've set the objective of improving the area around and the furniture for the next season. Regarding the garden, our proposal is a natural design garden with wildlife-friendly planting schemes. We believe that its strength... More

A nice, small hotel, very clean and elegantly decorated.Rooms serviced efficiently and regularly. A lovely lounge with lots of books to read and a bar serving food all day for those with the munchies. Pool small- and, as the beach is a 10 minute drive away, we didn't really use it. The breakfasts were lovely- dinners we found well cooked... More

It is an easy drive along the coast road and after turning off the hotel is reached along small country roads It is set at the edge of a small village amongst trees. There is a small car park.. Rooms are large and well furnished. This is an elegant hotel. Separate suite in grounds. Large lounge area with small bar.... More

On our first visit to this beautiful area of Northen Spain we were open minded. El Habana more than fulfilled our expectations in terms of the setting, decor, quality of service and it's good access to the spectacular Picos de Europe and some amazing beaches. It is an easy drive from Oviedo airport but in a very quiet and tranquil... More
