My husband and I, and our very dear friends decided to have a get- away weekend in New England. We scheduled it for August 26th-28th. We had booked a flight to Manchester, New Hampshire so that we could really get away for 3 days without taking a lot of traveling time. Unfortunately when the week arrived, the weather forecast was... More

We are so very sorry that we obviously failed to meet the needs of these guests. Unfortunately weather is completely out of our control; it is why we personally buy trip insurance when we travel, and also recommend it to our guests. Nonetheless, we do appreciate that they joined us prior to the arrival of the hurricane, which was not... More

Where do I start? This B&B is Gorgeous! We booked Room 1 which is toward the rear of the house. It was quiet, beautifully decorated, and very accessible to our car. Breakfasts were to die for... way beyond any we've experienced elsewhere. The bathroom was very large with a double-head shower and separate Jacuzzi tub. The bed was very comfortable,... More

This is the place to stay in Woodstock FABULOUS. Evelyn and David are great hosts, rooms are gorgeous, we stayed in room no 1, one of the best rooms we have stayed in. Breakfast was VERY GOOD and Evelyn is very willing to share her receipe's. More

From the moment we checked in, we felt like we were on vacation. It took us a little longer than it should have to travel around Vermont because of the road closures from tropical storm Irene, but we finally made it. ( we travelled from New York) My husband Paul and I were using this weekend as a short kid... More

Thank you Danielle and Paul for joining us this past weekend. We really appreciate you coming to visit us, and the beautiful village of Woodstock! I am glad that you enjoyed your visit and that you got to have a romantic getaway without the kids. The state is working at an amazing pace to get roads back open, so hopefully... More

A disturbing incident with owner Dave during our 3 day stay the weekend of hurricane Irene, overshadowed what began as an enjoyable visit. We are two professional couples who cancelled our flights and drove 8 hours to honor our weekend commitment at the Village Inn of Woodstock after Dave and Evelyn informed us that rescheduling our stay was not an... We are so very sorry that we obviously failed to meet the needs of these guests. Unfortunately weather is completely out of our control. It is for this reason that we recommend trip insurance, and purchase it for ourselves when we travel. My wife and I recently stayed at the Village Inn for the third time. Evelyn and David (and their two adorable dogs) are great hosts, welcoming us warmly and always asking us if they can do anything for us. We really enjoy the lavish breakfasts they serve, which David modifies to suit our dietary restrictions. The rooms are immaculate and... More

The Village Inn was a very pleasant surprise. Our room had a private entrace, king size bed with -surprise! - a high quality and very comfortable matress. The decor was rich and luxurious, including the large marble bathroom. The bathroom is almost as large as the bedroom, separate shower, large whirlpool bathroom. The Inn was very clean. Not the quaint,... More

My 21 year old daughter and I recently had the pleasure of spending two wonderful nights with Evelyn and David at the Village Inn. The town of Woodstock is charming - lot's to do - but we were there for "business"! A horse show at nearby GMHA. . . We were warmly greeted by our friendly and very competent innkeepers... More

We stayed at The Village Inn for 2 nights and had a great stay. Such a cozy atmosphere and David and Evelyn are great hosts! They are full of suggestions of places to go and things to do in the area. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. The room was clean and comfortable. We've already recommended this Inn to our... More

I chose the Village Inn based on TripAdvisor reviews and price. For a one-night stay, I chose one of the smallest rooms. It was very nice and the inn has an abundance of charming public spaces--parlors, game room, reading nooks, porches, gardens. The Inn, like virtually all the inns and B & B's in Woodstock, is right on the main... More

Thank you, emilee, for taking the time to write such a nice review. So glad that you enjoyed all that Woodstock and the Village Inn have to offer. Mt.
