We really enjoyed our stay. Mark and Debbie were very friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay. The inn itself has great character: a fine place to stay in a lovely area. More

We stayed at 4 B&B inns & 2 hotels on our trip through Upstate NY & New England, & this is the only place we don't recommend. And it wasn't the least expensive. We booked our stay despite seeing mixed reviews while researching & hoped the unfavorable reviews were just flukes. When shown to our room, I immediately noticed the... More

We had a great time at the Carriage House B&B. Mark and Debbie, the innkeepers, were quite friendly and accommodating. One night we wanted to make hot chocolate and they were more than happy to give us mugs, hot water, and access to their kitchen. The inn was very quiet, we had a room facing the main road but did... We spent two nights with innkeepers Mark, Debbie, Stephanie and Ruggles the cat. Could not have asked for more comfortable accommidations or better folks to stay with. We went to Vermont for the snow and rural bed and breafast experience and we had a wonderful time! Woodstock is perfect and this inn and its owners are excellent. We now consider... More

This place is over priced with very little amenities for example the fireplace was only allowed to be on for an hour then must be shut off at the source because it could overheat & burn the entire house down. We stayed in a king size bed with the matress being in such poor condition that the springs could be... More

The guest called us at 11am on the busiest Saturday of the year - Fall Foliage in Vermont - demanding our cheapest room for the night. They were lucky we actually had a room - but we gave them a 23% discount ($150) anyway ( in Woodstock, Vermont during foliage for a king room with fireplace and whirlpool tub, cable... More

This B&B is very run down. While the hosts are friendly, they have not done any work on this house. It is in desparate need of repairs and updating. The breakfasts were good, however, they were not set up to be able to accommodate all of their guests at one time. It is definitely not a place I would return... More

We were surprised by this review because the guests told us how helpful we were in planning their visit. We visited the guests' rooms and could not find anything in disrepair - so we contacted them and found that there were a couple of places where the wallpaper had lifted one inch at the seam (behind a bedside table and... We are disappointed with this review only because we do everything we can to accommodate our individuals guests' needs and are often rewarded with our efforts. In this case, as soon as these guests indicated that they were bothered by noise from the road, we moved them to a quieter and nicer room at no additional charge. Ruggles, the cat,... More

We lucked upon one of the few existing vacancies during the weekend of the half marathon. What luck it was! Very large room. Tastefully decorated, very quiet and clean. The host and hostess were very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. One mile from town. Would stay here again without a doubt. More

Located just outside Woodstock the Carriage House is a well kept B&B with nice sized rooms. The hosts are friendly without being intrusive. The common breakfast table makes for interesting conversations with fellow guests. Breakfast offers interesting choices and is well presented. More

Very cordial hosts, comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfasts. The Carriage House was ideally located for our cross-country skiing plans; only minutes to two excellent nordic centers. Ruggles Rocks! (Ruggles is the cat). Also convenient to the village of Woodstock. Highly recommended. More
