I choose Villa Mocenigo after reading about it in Rick Steve's book. We were looking for a place to stay near Venice where we could park our car and get to Venice fairly easily. The pictures online made it look beautiful and it seemed like a fantastic deal. It was a good deal, we save a lot of money compared... More

I've stayed at agriturismi before and enjoyed it so decided to stay in one with the family on a recent visit. We didn't want to stay in Venice because of the price, and also because the idea of lugging our luggage on and off the vaporetti and then down the street to whatever hotel we were in seemed a big... We were guests at Villa Mocenigo for two nights at the end of a longer driving trip to the Vento centered mainly on Palladian architecture in Vicenza and some of the smaller towns of the northern Veneto. We chose Villa Mocenigo for its proximity to Palladio's villas along the Brenta Canal, and for its relative proximity to Marco Polo airport... More

Villa Mocenigo was one of the highlights of our 20-day Italian trip this September. It is a real working farm complete with stanchions in the barn for 40 dairy cattle and a milking parlor. There are many other animals that are easily heard and seen. As a dairy farmer's daughter from Wisconsin, USA, it was very interesting to see an... More

We just returned from a long vacation that took us through parts of England and Italy with a stopover in France. Villa Mocenigo was our only agritourismo stay and it met all of the positives highlighted in the reviews. I found it mentioned in Rick Steves' guidebook and researched extensively before going, down to viewing google maps to see how... More

Tucked off a small road in a rural landscape, Villa Mocenigo is conveniently located to special towns like Venice, Verona, Asolo, and Bassano del Grappa. This delightful Agriturismo is nestled in a complex of historic buildings and a peaceful farm setting, including the magnificent 16th century villa where the family lives. Because the Agriturismo is on a small road off... More

We spent six nights at Villa Mocenigo and were reluctant to leave. Our room was in the Main House, up one flight of stairs. It was comfortable with a modern ensuite bathroom and a view out over the farm. A delicious breakfast was served in the Restaurant in the same building. There is also a communal TV area at the foot... Villa Mocenigo was a lovely place to stay and suited us perfectly. We were travelling through northern Italy on our way from France to Slovenia and wanted to spend an afternoon in Venice (but didn't want to stay in Mestre as we had done that before and we were on a budget so staying on Venice and having to pay... We were disappointed by Villa Mocenigo. It's a farm. There is a villa. I was expecting to stay in one of the beautiful rooms pictured on their website which does say, "accommodation in farmhouse" but pictures show rooms in the Villa/Farmhouse - not where they put us, which was in the 'converted stable' (apparently). Yuck. More like a low end... More

An Agrotourismo is a working farm offering comfortable accommodation. At Villa Mocenigo we strive to provide a genuine experience of the Italian countryside, including home-cooked meals made with products from our own farm. We offer ten fully refurbished rooms (six in the garden and four upstairs) with air-conditioning and new bathrooms. Three of the garden rooms are set up to... More

We were impressed with the comfort, hospitality, cleanliness and good value. Maria Stella looked after us very well, giving us advice on what to see in the area and how to get there. An interesting bus trip to Venice and very accessible to some beautiful villages. Don't miss the food in Luigiana's restaurant - we ate here amongst the locals... More
