We had a great time staying at this hotel, the hot tubs were lovely lying outdoors after a tiring day with the family was a great way to end the day. The hotel was really nicely decorated, clean, had plenty of TV channels. The staff were really helpful and breakfasts were plentiful, a help yourself buffet with waffles, teas and... More

No complaints - everything was very good. Dinner cooked perfectly and well presented. Cook your own waffles at breakfast! More

This hotel is in an excellent position for driving along the South Coast and for Gulfoss and Geysir. The rooms are comfortable, a bit like a motel rather than a hotel, with outdoor sitting area and separate entrance and bathroom area. The restaurant cannot be faulted for the evening meal, food is fantastic. The breakfast is fairly basic but no... More

We stayed here as part of a fly drive holiday. The location of the hotel is ideal for anyone wanting to visit Gullfoss waterfall (awesome) or the amazing site at Geysir and Strokkur. Very comfortable but some unusual touches in that all the rooms are set out like cabins and surround a central court yard containing two out door hot... More

There is a dearth of hotels in this area, so our tour group was lucky that Hotel Fludir was able to accommodate us and cater to our special needs. We had a nice room, with a door to an outside sitting area. There were a comfortable bed, 2 padded chairs, a small table, pcture wndow and a small television set.... More

Very modern, sleek hotel. Large rooms with separate foyer area between bedroom and bathroom allowed my daughter to sleep in while I showered. The best thing were the hot tubs fed by geothermal springs in the beautiful courtyard. More

The Sorensen family checked into the Icelandair Hotel Fludir during June for two nights. We took two rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids (11/15/15). The kids were in one room with two single beds and a guest bed. The hotel is well positioned to visit the local sites of Gulfoss and Geysir with plenty of hiking opportunities. We stumbled... More

It may lack warmth and charm but it's fine for a stay as a base for sightseeing. The rooms were clean and quiet. The kids enjoyed the hot tubs. The restaurant was quite good. And the Internet was free. More

There was an indefinable air of desolation about this functional yet stylish hotel, almost as if a volcano had erupted and taken away most of its trade and a significant amount of its staff. The high point of our stay was a luxurious soak in the hot tub, which was skilfully hidden from view amongst landscaped rock. Although the restaurant... More
