We loved our stay at Les Carmes last summer. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished. The hosts were wonderful - we felt very comfortable. The food was magnificent. No point in driving to nearby towns to eat - stay there and relax to a romantic, lovely meal. I still dream about the delicious fresh croissants served every morning. Great... More

Our three day stay at Les Carmes turned out to be a very special treat thanks to the wonderful hospitality of Ann and Mike as well as James' amazing culinary delights. I will always remember my very special birthday dinner! Les Carmes is a great place to come "home" to after exploring the beauty of Provence, and Ann is there... More

My husband and I started a 16 day trip to France and England with two nights at Les Carmes and wish we had more time (the familar lament of many). Mike and Ann were great hosts and anyone who has a chance to enjoy a dinner prepared by James (son) is crazy to let it pass. (One of my passions... More

A good B&B in a great location and fantastic food. This is one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed in. The rooms were very spacious and the grounds lovely. On top of that the food was absolutely fabulous. We were in the off season so it was not busy which was a bonus to us. If I could... More

It is unfortunate that we only had four nights to spend at Les Carmes. I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay in Provence. The Vine Room at this stunning bed and breakfast was huge and beautifully appointed. Our host and hostess, Mike and Anne, could not have been more gracious. (When I dropped an earring into the sink... More

Lesson Learned: always know where you are going. As we headed to Les Carmes we stopped at L'Isle Sur La Sorgue to ask for directions to Route Fontaine Vaucluse. (By the way there are two sections of this road, on either side of La Sorgue so be sure to find the one closest to Le Thor.) After driving for what... More

We just returned from an overnight at this lovely hotel. The previous reviews say it all. We wished we had stayed there longer instead of Avignon as it is well located for day trips to all the sightseeing locations. The owners Anne and Mike couldnt be more helpful with suggestions and advice. The dinner was delicious and beautifully presented thanks... More

This lovely small hotel is a wonderful place to visit either passing through or settling into as your home base for touring Provence. The guest rooms are lovely and inviting. The public spaces, such as the terrace area covered with grape vines, are delightful. But more than this ... owners Mike and Anne have gone the distance to make this... More

A very friendly small hotel with large, beautifully furnished rooms and fantastic food. Well located to explore Provence, with easy access to Avignon and a number of Provence villages. Thank you to Mike, Anne, James and Aniela for a lovely stay, we will be back soon. More

Pulling into Les Carmes, my reaction was a big sigh of relief and delight - it was immediately obvious that the website and reviews on this site were spot-on. The old house, with two-ft thick walls, is gorgeous down to the lavender shutters, our room (Vine Suite) was clean/bright/enormous, the whole place was airy and calming, and Mike & Ann... More
