Stayed here on way to Alaskan Land and Cruise tour. Rooms were nice and clean, beds excellent, very central in Anchorage, close to shops and restaurants. The Hotel Captain Cook is a classic style hotel with darker wood in the lobby and larger room than most hotel that have been built recently. The room had a good view of the surrounding mountains, the room was clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. We are staying here today as a result of a layover between cruise. The bathroom toilet was not cleaned and there was dried urine on the toilet seat. Second class hotel, bad elevators, wouldn't ever stay here again. We are kind of a captive audience with Princess cruises. Room darkening shades do not really darken the room. John S.

Husband wants to take his pillow home!!!!....and he never is happy with pillows....bed was most comfortable...adequate linens. Staff was friendly and eager to assist us with our questions...no sign of impatience. room was clean and very quiet.
